Godwin Elijah operates GodwinElijah.com as the parent website for custom software development and digital products. This Privacy Policy explains how information is collected, used, shared, stored, and protected when you visit the parent website, contact me about a project, or use a Godwin Elijah service workspace.

1. Scope and responsibilities

This policy covers the GodwinElijah.com parent website and the service workspaces for website and mobile app development, CV and résumé creation, invoices and related business documents, KDP book design, voice generation, website-to-APK conversion, and file conversion. Each workspace has its own service interface while sharing account identity across the platform. A shared account does not mean that every service receives every file you submit to another service.

A service-specific notice may explain additional processing relevant to a particular workspace. For custom development performed on behalf of a client, the privacy roles and handling of that client's end-user data may also be governed by the project agreement.

2. Information involved

The information involved depends on the pages and services you actually use. It may include:

  • Account and contact details: name, email address, sign-in identifiers, account preferences, and authentication-related records.
  • Project information: inquiries, requirements, development briefs, design references, website addresses, feature requests, correspondence, decisions, and project updates.
  • Submitted and generated material: documents, images, archives, website assets, text, audio, and output files created or processed by a workspace.
  • Service-specific content: CV and employment details; customer and billing details in invoices, quotations, and receipts; manuscript, cover, author, and publishing details; voice-generation prompts and audio; and website URLs or assets submitted for app conversion.
  • Payment and account activity: purchases, subscription or credit activity, amounts, billing status, refunds, and payment references. A payment provider may collect additional payment details directly.
  • Technical and support information: IP address, browser and device information, pages and features used, error or security logs, cookie identifiers where applicable, and the contents of support requests.

Some uploaded material can contain personal information about other people, such as a résumé reference, an invoice recipient, or a person named in a manuscript. Please submit only information you are permitted to use for the chosen service.

3. How information is obtained

You provide information directly when you fill in a form, create an account, send a project brief, upload a file, enter text for a tool, make a payment, or ask for support. A service also creates information as you use it, such as a generated document, processing status, revision, download, or project message. Authentication and payment providers return account identifiers, transaction confirmations, and other records needed to complete the requested service. Web servers and similar systems generate technical records when a page or workspace is accessed.

The exact information collected through a particular tool depends on its function. A service-specific notice may identify additional sources where needed.

4. Why information is processed

Information may be used to respond to inquiries; define, develop, test, and deliver a website or application; create or process files and other requested outputs; manage shared accounts; provide downloads; process transactions; keep project and billing records; answer support requests; maintain the service; investigate misuse or technical failures; and comply with applicable legal duties. Information may also be used to improve a service where doing so is lawful and appropriate for the type of material involved.

Legal bases where the GDPR applies

The applicable legal basis depends on the activity. Processing needed to respond to your request, set up an account, or provide a purchased service may rely on steps before a contract or performance of a contract. Tax, accounting, and other legally required records may rely on legal obligation. Service security, fraud prevention, reliability, support, and proportionate product improvement may rely on legitimate interests after considering the effect on individuals. Optional analytics, marketing, or other processing that requires permission will rely on consent where required; consent may be withdrawn for future processing. Consent is not the basis for every service activity.

If a particular service involves sensitive personal data, the handling of that data and any additional legal condition required for it must be assessed separately. You should avoid entering sensitive details unless they are necessary for your requested result.

5. Uploaded files and generated results

When you submit content to a workspace, that service reads, transforms, stores, and makes it available for download as needed to perform the task you selected. A converter, for example, needs the source file to produce a converted file; a development project may require documents and design assets to remain available while the work is carried out. Access, storage, download availability, and deletion arrangements differ between services according to the work each one performs.

Do not upload files you are not authorized to share, material containing unnecessary personal data, or content that infringes another person's rights. Check files before submitting them, particularly where they contain confidential business data or details about other people. Submission and generated output may be accessible to personnel or service providers who need access to deliver, troubleshoot, or support the service, subject to the arrangements that apply to that service. Download availability and deletion arrangements may differ by workspace.

6. Information in individual services

CV and résumé builder

A CV may include your name, contact details, education, employment history, qualifications, portfolio links, and other facts you choose to add. It may also name former employers, referees, or other third parties. Include those details only when you have a suitable reason to do so, and consider whether sensitive details such as health information, identification numbers, or full home addresses are needed for the document.

Invoices, quotations, and receipts

Business documents may contain the names and contact details of customers or suppliers, billing addresses, item descriptions, amounts, tax information, transaction references, and payment status. Such documents may need to be retained for a period required by accounting, tax, or dispute-resolution rules. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you put into documents you issue.

KDP book design

Book projects may involve manuscripts, author or pen names, biographies, artwork, cover text, publishing specifications, and generated cover or interior files. These materials may contain information about other people. The tools are intended to help prepare publishing files; Godwin Elijah is not affiliated with or endorsed by Amazon or Kindle Direct Publishing.

Voice generation and AI services

The voice workspace processes submitted text, voice settings, audio inputs used for a requested feature, and generated audio. An external AI or audio provider may receive the material needed to generate a result. That provider's own practices may govern whether submitted material is used for model improvement or training; review the applicable provider notice for details. Do not provide another person's voice, identity, or copyrighted material for impersonation or other use without the necessary rights and permissions.

Website-to-APK and file conversion

These tools may process website URLs, site assets, configuration details, documents, images, archives, and other uploaded files. Processing can involve reading the file or website contents, producing an output, and making the result available to you. Files and websites may include embedded metadata, personal details, or confidential material; review them before submission and use only material you are entitled to process.

7. Payments, subscriptions, and billing

Stripe processes payments for the platform. Payment card details are collected and handled through the provider's payment flow rather than entered into a Godwin Elijah content form. The platform receives transaction identifiers, purchased service or credit information, billing status, refund status, and limited billing details needed to provide access, resolve a payment issue, or keep required business records.

Subscription, credit, invoice, and refund records are processed in connection with the services that use them. Payment records may need to remain after an account is closed where law, accounting requirements, chargeback handling, or a dispute requires it. The payment provider's own privacy notice also applies to its processing.

8. Providers and other disclosures

Information is shared with providers to the extent needed for a service, platform operation, or legal requirement. Supabase supports shared identity, database, and file storage functions, while Stripe processes payments. Other providers may support hosting and infrastructure, email or notification delivery, AI voice generation, document or file processing, analytics, and security or abuse prevention according to the services used.

A provider may act on instructions or may have independent responsibilities, such as a payment provider processing payments under its own terms. Information may also be disclosed when required by law, lawful process, or a valid regulatory request, or where necessary to establish or defend legal claims.

9. International processing

Hosting, identity, payment, and processing providers may operate in different countries. Where personal information is transferred across borders, the applicable legal requirements and safeguards must be considered for the provider, region, and transfer route. These may include an adequacy decision or appropriate contractual safeguards where required. The location and transfer arrangements depend on the providers used for each service.

10. Retention and deletion

Information should be kept only for as long as needed for its purpose, subject to applicable legal and practical requirements. Account details may be needed while an account is active; project briefs and communications may be needed during delivery and for later questions or disputes; payment and invoice records may be retained for legal recordkeeping; uploads and generated files may have service-specific availability periods; and technical or support logs may be kept long enough to investigate issues and protect the service.

Retention periods, backup handling, and deletion arrangements may differ by workspace and provider. Deleting an account may not immediately remove information that must be retained by law or is needed for an unresolved transaction or claim.

11. Security

Security measures should be appropriate to the type and sensitivity of information processed and the risks involved. Depending on the service, that may include access management, careful configuration of storage and service providers, secure transmission, account controls, monitoring, and procedures for responding to incidents. No internet service can promise absolute security.

You can help protect your information by using a strong account password, controlling who can access your own devices and files, and contacting me if you suspect unauthorized account activity.

12. Cookies and similar technologies

Services use cookies or local storage to maintain sign-in sessions, remember preferences, support security, and keep the site functioning. Analytics or marketing technologies, where used, serve their stated purposes and are subject to the choices required by applicable law.

Where applicable law requires consent for non-essential cookies or tracking, the appropriate choice should be obtained before those technologies are used. Browser settings may allow you to delete or block some cookies, though doing so can affect essential account functions.

13. Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live and the law that applies, you may be able to request access to your personal information, correct inaccurate information, ask for deletion, request a portable copy, restrict certain processing, or object to certain uses. If processing relies on your consent, you may withdraw that consent for the future. You may also have rights relating to decisions made solely by automated means that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.

Rights are subject to legal conditions and exceptions. For example, information needed for tax records, a legitimate dispute, or another legal duty may not be erasable immediately. To request access or deletion, contact me using the details below and identify the account or service involved. I may need to verify your identity before disclosing or deleting information, especially where files contain data about other people.

Where applicable, you may raise a concern with the data protection authority responsible for your location. I encourage you to contact me first so that I can understand and address the issue.

14. Children and external websites

These services are intended for people using professional, business, creative, or publishing tools. They are not designed to solicit personal information from children. If you believe a child has submitted personal information without appropriate authorization, please contact me so the situation can be reviewed under the law that applies. No universal age threshold is stated here because the relevant rules may differ by jurisdiction and service.

The website and workspaces may link to external websites, payment pages, or other providers. Their own privacy notices govern information they collect independently. A link does not mean Godwin Elijah controls that external site's practices.

15. Changes to this policy

This policy may change as services evolve, providers change, or legal requirements change. The current version is published at this address with its updated date. Where a material change calls for direct notice under applicable law or because it substantially affects an existing account or service, an additional notice will be provided through the available contact or account channel.

16. Privacy inquiries

For a privacy question or a request about your information, contact Godwin Elijah at dev@godwinelijah.com or use the contact page. Please identify the service or account involved, describe the request, and avoid sending sensitive documents in an initial message unless they are needed to explain the issue.

Privacy inquiries about the parent website and its service workspaces can be directed through these contact options.
